Model Portfolios in Stock Doctor (AI Models)
A new AI Models section is now available from the top menu bar and from the home screen, professionally constructed Model Portfolios that demonstrate how Stock Doctor research can be used to build diversified portfolios aligned to different investment goals.
Bringing together two types of model portfolios in one place: Quant Model and AI Model Portfolios.
The section is designed to help you understand the different approaches, compare how each model works, and follow portfolio holdings, performance, and the latest changes over time.
To get there:
- Log in to Stock Doctor
- Select AI Models from the top menu bar
- Choose either a Quant Model Portfolio or an AI Model Portfolio
- Open the portfolio to view holdings, performance, methodology, sector exposure, and the latest changes
AI Model Portfolios
AI Model Portfolios are pre-built portfolios that use a systematic machine-learning model to rank stocks and construct concentrated portfolios. They are designed to show how a data-driven investment strategy works in practice, using structured financial and market data rather than discretionary stock picking.
How they work:
- The model ranks stocks by expected return at each rebalance date
- Before inclusion, stocks must pass Stock Doctor's Financial Health assessment and meet a minimum average daily traded value of $200,000 — financially weak companies are excluded even if they rank highly in the model
- The model is supervised and cross-sectional, learning from past outcomes and comparing stocks against one another
- Portfolio rules balance return potential, diversification, turnover, and risk
Available AI Model Portfolios:
- Alpha+ Intelligent MF High-Turnover Small-Cap – Highly active, small-cap focused portfolio with monthly rebalancing. Applies a high-turnover construction setting which prioritises the addition of stocks with the strongest relative forecast signals over the retention of existing holdings.
- Alpha Intelligent MF High-Turnover Large-Cap – Highly active, large-cap focused portfolio with monthly rebalancing. Prioritises the addition of stocks with the strongest relative forecast signals over the retention of existing holdings.
- Alpha Intelligent MF High-Turnover Small-Cap – Highly active, small-cap focused portfolio with monthly rebalancing. Prioritises the addition of stocks with the strongest relative forecast signals over the retention of existing holdings.
- Alpha Intelligent MF Active Large-Cap – Lower turnover, large-cap focused portfolio with monthly rebalancing. Prioritises the retention of holdings that continue to exhibit strong relative forecast signals, while selectively adding new stocks with favourable model support.
All AI Model Portfolios are monthly rebalanced growth strategies.

Quant Model Portfolios
Quant Model Portfolios are pre-built portfolios that use Stock Doctor's rules-based investment framework to select and maintain holdings. They are designed for members who want a systematic, factor-based approach that first filters out financially weak companies before any ranking or portfolio selection takes place.
How they work:
- Stocks must pass Stock Doctor's Financial Health criteria and meet a minimum average daily traded value of $200,000
- The top 20 ranked stocks are selected based on growth factors, or a combination of growth and value factors
- No-rebalancing versions do not rebalance position sizes over time; equal-weight versions periodically rebalance to maintain equal weighting
Available Quant Model Portfolios:
- Quant Growth & Value – No Rebalancing – Top 20 healthy growth stocks ranked on both growth and value criteria. Position sizes are not rebalanced over time.
- Quant Growth & Value – Equal Weight – Top 20 healthy stocks ranked on both growth and value criteria. Position sizes are periodically rebalanced to maintain equal weighting.
- Quant Growth – No Rebalancing – Top 20 healthy growth stocks ranked on Golden Rule 2 growth criteria. Position sizes are not rebalanced over time.
- Quant Growth – Equal Weight – Top 20 healthy stocks ranked on Golden Rule 2 growth criteria. Position sizes are periodically rebalanced to maintain equal weighting.

Signature includes everything in Core plus access to all AI Model Portfolios, all Quant Model Portfolios, Stock Filter, and the complete suite of portfolio management, research tools and direct access to our analyst team. Signature is the top tier and provides full access to every feature in Stock Doctor.
