Aussie Broadband Limited (ABB) acquisition of Symbio Holdings Limited (SYM) – February 2024

The acquisition of Symbio Holdings Limited (SYM) by Aussie Broadband Limited (ABB), is now legally effective. SYM has been suspended from trading as at 19 February 2024.  The scheme record date is 21 February 2024 and implementation date of 28 February 2024.  Shareholders will receive a mixture of cash and scrip. Shareholders will receive $1.91 per SYM share and for each SYM, shareholders will receive 0.192 ABB shares. The fully franked special dividend of $0.35 will automatically appear in your portfolio manager.

To account for the acquisition of your SYM shares by ABB, in your Stock Doctor Portfolio Manager, please see the instructions below:

 Portfolio Manager:

1. Click on the name of the portfolio that you hold Symbio Holdings Limited.
2. Click on the share code SYM
3. In the new window, please scroll down to “Trades and Adjustments”
4. Click on “Other Transactions”
5. In the drop-down menu click on “New Capital Return"

6. In the new window, please enter in the following:

• • Date: 28 February 2024
  • Per Share ($) 1.91
  • Optional – You can place a note in the “Notes” area.

7. Then click the “Save” button

 

1. Click on “Other Transactions” then on ‘New Reconstruction”

2. In the new window please enter in the following:

• • Date: 28/02/2024
  • In the box called ‘New Holdings for which rollover relief applies’, please enter:
    • Code: ABB
    • Quantity: Your SYM multiplied by 0.192 to give you your new ABB holding.
    • Cost base rolled over (%): 100

 

3. Click on the “Trade Allocation” tab and check your "Allocation" of trade method.

4. Click on the "SAVE" button

 

To return to your securities held screen, please scroll to the top of the page and on the left-hand side, just above to Stock’s name, click on the button called “Back to Securities’.

You have now accounted for the scheme of arrangement for Symbio Holdings Limited.
