Are these portfolios real money investments?
No. Model Portfolios are research reference tools, not real money investments. Lincoln Indicators does not invest on your behalf. All investment decisions remain yours.
How often are AI Model Portfolios updated?
AI Model Portfolios rebalance monthly. At each rebalance the model re-ranks all eligible stocks and rebuilds the portfolio. The Latest Changes tab shows which stocks were added or removed in the last 3 months.
How often are Quant Model Portfolios updated?
Quant Model Portfolio data updates daily as company data changes. Rebalancing occurs when a stock's eligibility or ranking changes enough to trigger an entry or exit event.
Why did a stock I was following get removed from model?
Stocks are removed when they no longer meet eligibility criteria or the ranking threshold. For Quant portfolios this typically means the stock fell out of the top 20 or failed Financial Health or Golden Rule 2 criteria. For AI portfolios it means the model ranked the stock below the threshold at the monthly rebalance.
Can I copy a Model Portfolio into my own watchlist or portfolio?
Model Portfolios are not linked to your personal Stock Doctor portfolio or watchlist. You can use the Current Holdings tab as a reference for your own research, but any trades are entirely your own decision.
What is the XAOAI benchmark?
The XAOAI is the ASX All Ordinaries Total Return index, measuring total return including capital growth and dividends reinvested. It is used to compare Model Portfolio performance against the broad Australian share market.
Why do some portfolios have different risk levels?
Risk levels reflect the expected volatility of each strategy. Higher-turnover or small-cap focused portfolios carry a High risk classification. More stable large-cap portfolios carry Moderate or Low risk. This is a guide to the strategy, not a personalised risk assessment.
Do Model Portfolios include ETFs or only individual stocks?
Model Portfolios hold individual ASX-listed stocks only. ETFs and other non-equity securities are not included. All stocks must pass Financial Health screening and meet a minimum average daily traded value of $200,000.
How is Estimated Yield calculated?
Estimated Yield is based on broker estimates or in their absence, historical dividend payments. It is an estimate only — actual dividends depend on future company payments, which may change.
What does notional performance mean?
Notional performance is calculated on a simulated basis, not from a real traded portfolio. It assumes dividend reinvestment and estimated transaction costs. It is not the same as the return you would have experienced as an actual investor. Past notional performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.
Why is the equal weighted portfolio not equal weighted?
The portfolio is only reweighted at the point of a stock entering or exiting. Between rebalances, individual stock weights will drift based on price movements.
How much should in each holding of a model portfolio?
If you are looking to follow a model portfolio, use the same percentage weighting figures, seen in the current holdings tab. The exception is for non-rebalanced portfolios. For these, begin with an equal allocation to each stock. The current weights reflect movements since the portfolio’s inception—when positions were initially equally weighted—and have since diverged due to market performance.
