How to fix webinar no sound and video issues?

How to resolve Sound Issues?

If you have logged into a webinar and have no audio/sound, please check in the GoTowebinar control panel that the correct audio option is selected.

  1. Open the GoToWebinar control panel, by clicking on the 'orange arrow' icon located in the far top right corner of your screen.
  2.  Expand the Audio section (if not already open) and select the Computer audio option.
    Tip: If Computer audio is already selected, Try clicking on the No audio option. Then, clicking it back on to the Computer Audio option.
  3. Once, you have clicked on the Computer audio option. You should now have Audio.
    If you still do not have sound, please check the correct audio device is selected under the speaker icon in the Audio Section.
    Clicking on the drop down menu will allow you to switch between audio devices on your computer.
  4. Switch between each audio device until you hear sound.

If all above fails to resolve your sound issue, you may have not selected your preferred audio option when the webinar initial loaded and it may be hiding behind the video presentation :

  1. Minimise the presentation by clicking on the minimise button/dash icon -  in the top right corner of the presentation window.

  2. Then click on Computer Audio option in the pop-up, which may have be hidden from view behind the webinar.

  3. Once you hear the audio, restore the webinar presentation by clicking the GoToWebinar icon (blue flower) located in your taskbar at the bottom of your screen.

How to resolve Video Issues?

If you have logged into a webinar and you can hear audio but have no video/visual, it maybe sitting  minimised or hiding behind another window. To bring the presentation into view please follow instructions below:

  1. If the video is minimised, you will notice a GoToWebinar icon (blue flower) located in your taskbar at the bottom of your screen. 
  2. Click on this blue flower icon, and it will open the video presentation on screen.

If the instructions above fail to resolve your video issue, please try the following:

  1. Open the GoToWebinar control panel, by clicking on the 'orange arrow' icon located in the far top right corner of your screen.
  2. Click on the View drop-down option 
  3. Select Full Screen
