The acquisition of Boral Limited (BLD) by SGH Limited (SGH), is now legally effective. BLD has been suspended from trading as at 6 June 2024. The scheme record date of 18 April 2024. Shareholders will receive a mixture of cash and scrip. Shareholders will receive $1.44 per BLD share, and BLD shareholders will receive 0.1116 SGH shares. The fully franked special dividend of $0.26 will automatically appear in your portfolio manager.
To account for the acquisition of your BLD shares by SGH, in your Stock Doctor Portfolio Manager, please see the instructions below:
Portfolio Manager:
- Click on the name of the portfolio that you hold Boral Limited (BLD).
- Click on the share code BLD
- In the new window, please scroll down to “Trades and Adjustments”
- Click on “Other Transactions”
- In the drop-down menu click on “New Capital Return”
1. In the new window, please enter in the following:

- Date: 6 June 2024
- Per Share ($) 1.44
- Optional – You can place a note in the “Notes” area.
2. Click the “Save” button
Next Click on “Other Transactions” and on "New Reconstruction" in the drop-down menu.
- In the new window please enter in the following:
- Date: 6/06/2024
- In the box called ‘New Holdings for which rollover relief applies’, please enter:
- Code: SGH
- Quantity: Your BLD multiplied by 0.1116 to give you your new SGH holding.
- Cost base rolled over (%): 100
- Click on the “Trade Allocation” tab and check your "Allocation of trades" method.
- Click on the ‘SAVE’ button
To return to your securities held screen, please scroll to the top of the page and on the left-hand side, just above to Stock’s name, click on the button called “Back to Securities’.
You have now accounted for the scheme of arrangement for Boral Limited.
